Kansas United (501c(3)) was founded in spring 2015 by former University of Kansas point guard Jeff Hawkins. Jeff’s goal was to bring a new and improved focus to youth basketball in the Lawrence community. He wanted to take the skills of the game and the life lessons he learned from his former hall of fame coaches and share that knowledge with the community he loves so much.

We are dedicated to fulfilling our mission statement and providing a positive experience for the young men we serve. Kansas United is committed to be the very best in youth basketball. Our teams consist of student athletes who play with heart and possess a “team first” attitude. The focus of our coaching is on much more than just being a good basketball player. Kansas United stresses the importance of discipline, respect, and prioritizing education over athletics.

While we focus primarily on developing talented, respectable ball players, our organization also takes a stand on giving back to our community. We take time away from the game we love to impact Lawrence in a positive way. During each season, each of our teams will complete a group community service project. We feel strongly that if everyone that is a part of our program is taught to play basketball, to act with high character, and to serve their community we will be successful.
